In post-production: Open.
April 21st, 2008
After almost three years of working in digital video, Open marks my return to the medium of film, and all the glory and headaches that come along with it. It's the story of two lovers in a complicated relationship trying to find their own way to be honest with themselves and each other. Right now the film is awaiting its digital scan so I can begin editing it as finishing funds are raised. I expect it to be complete before the end of 2008.
New webpage design.

Hey look, I made it different. I'm trying to streamline things, put up a news page (this page), and fill in sort of "online press kits" for applicable films. Also, with the addition of two new entries, Bathwater and the upcoming Open, I could no longer make the horizontal menu work. Now, at long last, ice9films.com has gone vertical.
DVD coming soon.
April 15th, 2008
I'm putting the final touches on a DVD version of my twenty-minute short film 1000 Pieces. It's going to be simple and humble, but I'm excited. The DVD will features many of my earlier films as well. Probably I'll just give it away to friends, or trade it for a copy of someone else's work, but I might end up trying to sell it on here, for just enough to cover the expenses of printing them.
Bathwater waiting on score.
April 10th, 2008
Bathwater, the four-minute digital short I shot specifically for the Open Fundraiser in March, is getting a final polish done to its score by original composer Josh Loerzel of Portland band Knowledge Box. Once the score is complete, the film is going to take off on the festival circuit. I'll keep you posted.
